Brothers
Grady is loving his little brother and wants to know where he is at all times. He is also wanting to be maybe a little too helpful and told me today, "Mom, just let me carry him." Unfortunately, Grady has also done some over-the-top fit throwing in the last day or two...we're crossing our fingers that those will pass!

Count Down
Just 3 more days of school and ??? days til this baby is no longer kickin it inside me! It seems kind of unreal to me that this is the month--I'm no longer counting months and weeks, I'm counting days! I wish I could say that I am totally ready. But to be honest, I'm totally not. I still need to wash all of my baby clothes, buy newborn diapers, and the crib I picked up on Craigslist, still needs to be painted. My house could also use a good cleaning, my yard needs some weeding, and my hair could use some re-highlighting or coloring. I better stop thinking about everything that probably should be done before the baby arrives because the to-do list would be never-ending.Right now my baby is transverse--sideways--and has been for my last several appointments. On Monday, I go in for an ultrasound to find the baby's positioning and size. Then, if the baby is still sideways, I could be having the baby turned (and then I'd be induced the same day) by the end of next week. I have mixed feelings about that for sure--glad to possibly be seeing light at the end of the tunnel, but not too excited about my dr. pushing and manipulating my belly hard enough to move my baby around. While I worry about that this week, Todd worries about his line-up for his upcoming softball tournament on Saturday. Oh to have the simple life of a man. :)

Grady's Birthday

Grady turned 3 at the beginning of May. I can't believe my baby boy is that old already! He loved all of the attention he received at both of his little birthday parties and has had a hard time attending other birthday parties since--he seems to think that he should always get to blow out the candles and be sung too! He has grown so much this past year--we can now almost make it through sacrament meeting each week...we can now almost make it through the entire night without him ending up in our bed...and we can now almost make it through a trip to WalMart without swearing to never take him back. And all of this just in time to start it all over with baby #2! I don't know how all of you with 2+ kids do it, but I'll soon be forced to figure it out for myself. Either that or I'll never be leaving home again.

Grady's Pooping
A few weeks ago we hit potty training pretty hard...One day when we were out at the Gilbert's, grandpa drew this little stick man (on the step next to him) and said it was Grady. Grady quickly added the scribbles underneath and replied, "Grady's pooping!" Nice. Unfortunately, we are still working on the potty training thing.

Birthday and Easter
Happy Birthday to my Toddler (and I don't mean Grady)!!! I love you!!!

I wish this picture wasn't blurry but Grady sat through an entire movie at the theater for the first time (we have had to walk out early a few too many times)--How to Train a Dragon in 3-D--I'm pretty sure he only made it the whole way through because he was with his grandma and not me and Todd!
Grady got to hunt his little heart out for Easter eggs (he calls them "Rooster Eggs"). He never caught on that I was re-hiding the same candy every time and even used candy from the hunts in his Easter basket. I kind of feel guilty for ripping him off like that, but a child has no need for that much candy. The Latest
Here's the latest from 11th Avenue in Othello:
Todd finished his man cave and has basically banned Grady and myself from the room...
This past weekend was the Sandhill Crane Festival here in Othello--Todd and I were too cheap to buy tickets for the guided tours so we took a tour of our own with some friends...

Grady & Isak
(We, being the great parents we are, forgot to bring a coat for our child and therefore, he was lucky enough to wear a work sweatshirt off the floor of Todd's truck)

We saw this cute little swingset on Craigslist and gave it a new home:
As for me, I am getting very large and show no signs of slowing down...I think I'm averaging a gain of about 7 lbs. between each dr. appt. If I keep that up, I'm going to be the size of a small truck by June. I'm not complaining, though, because I feel really pretty good at this point--much better than months 2-4. This week is Spring Break--love that I'm going to have lots of time to spend with Grady, hate that I'll be spending most of that time with him in the bathroom since we are hitting potty training hard this week. He's doing pretty well so far...I say that as I knock on wood...we are not even a day into it yet. Wish us luck!
On a side note, I found some cute boy boots to replace the cute girl shoes I purchased way too early on in pregnancy. Excited about these!
